01The Setting

Five acres,
one ridge, one road in.

The cabin sits alone at the edge of the San Juan National Forest, with Chimney Rock on the horizon and the nearest neighbor invisible behind the next rise.

No HOA, no shared driveway, no other porch lights at night. The view from the back deck is forty miles of national forest.

Winter sunset aerial — the single road in snakes up to the cabin on its ridge, Chimney Rock silhouetted against the orange sky in the distance

02The Property

Three things you'll
come back for.

The cabin's quiet luxuries — the parts guests message us about months later, the parts that turn first-time bookings into return visits.

Big dormers, warm windows, logs that mean it. The cabin

Big dormers, warm windows, logs that mean it.

The shot every guest takes the moment they pull up. Logs, green metal roof, lit from within when the sun drops.

West-facing, sun does the rest. The porch

Covered front deck under a vaulted ceiling. Coffee at sunrise, a glass of something as the range goes orange.

104°F, year-round, mountains all around. The hot tub

104°F, year-round, mountains all around.

Steam, string lights, fresh snow at your back, and the silence of five private acres. The most-photographed corner of the property.

03From Above

Three frames,
same ridge.

What the property looks like from four hundred feet up — winter dusk, winter peak sunset, and a clear summer afternoon with the San Juan range stretched across the horizon.

The cabin was the perfect spot for all of my family from out of town to relax after a day of skiing and hot springs, plenty of space for everyone. Thanks for having us!

Perfect place to get out of the snow and enjoy the views! We loved everything about this home. Even with the snow, 4x4 let us easily access the home and we couldn't have had a better experience. A must stay for Pagosa Springs!

The cabin was big and beautiful. We had a lovely Thanksgiving there. Everything we needed was available and the house was clean and ideal for a family getaway in the mountains.

This was the perfect stay for myself and my husband to unwind and get away after our wedding. It was a peaceful getaway, still within driving distance to town. Would recommend and stay at again!

Our two families with a bunch of kiddos had an amazing time here! There was tons of things for the kids to do and a nice little hot tub for the adults and a fire pit to make s'mores in. Would definitely stay again.
